Where is Bigi Pan?
The Bigi Pan Nature Reserve is best known for its coastal birds: 72 species migrate here temporarily, including the red ibis, the fish eagle, the stern and various stalks.
Another 50 other species visit the area as a passant. Bigi Pan is a true paradise for birdwatchers and other nature lovers.
What are we going to do on this trip?
In the morning you will depart from Paramaribo (about 3-4 hours drive) to Nickerie.
At 14:00 you will meet with the hostess from Bigi Pan who assigns the rooms. A delicious lunch will be served. During your stay you will be doing various activities such as going up the lake by boat to spot the different birds, caymans also scouts, Kayaking, mud baths and also fishing.
This area is the wintering place of birds from North America and Canada. The area is about 250.000 hectares. The red Ibissen will be around from November to mid May.

What is included?
