Where is Danpaati situated?

Danpaati island is situated in the tropical rainforest at the boven-Suriname river near the village Dan, in the habitat of the Saramaccan tribe. The island is 40 m long and 100 m wide and is named after the place Dan which is located across the shore

The literal meaning of Danpaati is “Island of the village Dan”.

You can relax by the swimming pool, beautifully located in the tropical vegetation, accompanied while enjoying a nice glass of wine or cocktail. Also the Yoga- and mediatheque, partially located on the beach of the shore, invites everyone to relax mentally or enrich themselves spiritually. The wisps of fog that give the river a magical appearance in the early morning, adds an extra mystical dimension to your yoga exercises.

You can discuss the extra activities and prices with the administrator. Furthermore you can enjoy the many sounds and panorama the rainforest has to offer.
